Practice

My classes weave together the broad spectrum of Yoga, with nature based practices supported by the wheel of the year. Each practice is based on moving towards a specific state where meditation or deep relaxation can be accessed with as little resistance as possible. These practices are suitable for all with a genuine interest in the practice of Yoga and meditation, even if it is new to you… you are so welcome. I use movement and poses (asana) with breath techniques (pranayama) to prepare the body and mind for mediation or relaxation. It is my hope to bring about a sense of union with all the different parts of yourself coming together. I offer a movement based class and also a rest practice both weekly and monthly (term time only).

Current times:

  • Wednesday evening Yoga - in person - Ruddington.

7.15pm (70mins) Asana, pranayama, meditation - This class combines elements of Vinyasa Flow and Tantic Hatha Yoga -for all levels. Through movement and breath we work our way towards either the state of Meditation or relaxation.

I offer out lots of options so you can feel at home in your practice.

(every 4th week) 7.15pm (70mins) Rest Practice - This class creates a space for rest to nourish your body, mind and soul. We use a combination of gentle movement, restorative postures, pranayama (breath work) and meditation or relaxation to bring the body to sweet stillness and invite the mind to find ease.

  • Yoga in the Garden - in person - Ruddington -

    Sunday 11th May, 8th June, 13th July, 24th August & 21st September

    10-11.15am.

Welcoming Spring and Summer we move outside into the beautiful garden at the Framework Knitters Museum in Ruddington. This is a monthly practice and is open to anyone who feels the call. You are so welcome to do what feels good and meet your own needs. I will use different combinations of asana, pranayama, mantra, relaxation and meditation to create a specific internal experience. My aim is to create classes that reflect and coalesce with the time of year & the nature in the garden… gently energising and grounding. My aim is that you can get a sense of, and come to rest in your true essence and authenticity. My hope is that you leave the mat with this energy alive in your heart.

We are lucky that Parkers Yard cafe opens just as we finish class so there is an invitation to stay after class for coffee in community if you have the time and space in your day.
